Thought I'd submit some more design practice work. I didn't get paid for this one, but I had some free time over break and felt this group needed a better image to promote themselves. It's for an informal music/art gathering at IUP, targeting creative undergraduates. I chose a lot of exciting colors and design elements, while incorporating some “Starry Night” brush strokes (which had been a favorite within this group last year).

Nice work. Not sure if this is what you were going for, but it feels very 80s retro to me. And I should know, I lived through them. And the 90s … and the 70s … Gawd I'm old. LOL

I think I was looking at a lot of other artists/designers who were inspired by the 80s! They did a lot of collage work and layering.

Nice -- I like the geometric forms -- left to right climb of the text and coloured bands, and the alignment of those with the figure's back -- flows nicely.

Thanks! I got really inspired to play with some blockier elements when I was browsing online. I did try to keep a good flow so people would get all the info without feeling overwhelmed.
